About Me
About Me
Hello, I’m Rüya. I have always been interested in art, and during my high school years I decided that I wanted to improve my artistic talent even more. I also studied at a public high school where the education was in English and there was no art education. During this period, while continuing my school lessons, I also focused intensely on my art education. Because I wanted to choose a profession in the field of art education, I joined courses outside of school and prepared my portfolio in a short time. In my portfolio, there are portraits that represent transformation, maturity, and fragility, human figures with strong emotions, and works that express feelings in their most honest and open form. Recently, I have been exploring the balance between realism and abstraction. My portfolio also includes works that show my development throughout my artistic journey. This portfolio represents not only my technical improvement but also my personal growth. Each artwork carries a piece from a different period of my life. In the future, I want to continue producing, learning, and improving myself, to open international exhibitions, and to create projects that connect personal stories with universal themes. I see art not only as an aesthetic field, but also as a powerful language that makes people think, feel, and leaves a lasting impression. What I love most about art is that it is not only a space for creation, but also a language through which I can understand myself and the world around me.
Geometric Form and Shading Studies
In these studies, I focused on understanding the structure, volume, and relationships between geometric forms. My experiments with color and shading helped me observe the effect of light on surfaces more carefully. In a short period oftime, I developed a more conscious and controlled approach to tonal transitions, the use of shadows, and color harmony. This process helped me understand that even simple geometric shapes can create a strong composition and visual balance.
